Which treatment
suits your skin
With us a facial treatment is not one fixed treatment but a choice of five. Which one it becomes depends on what your skin needs.
If you want clean, fresh skin without recovery time, a HydraFacial is the obvious choice: cleansing, exfoliating and hydrating in one pass. An OxyGeneo exfoliates and brings in active ingredients in the same movement. Dermaplaning removes dead skin cells and vellus hair with a blade, without acids, so it also works for sensitive skin.
If it is about blocked pores, roughness or a dull colour, a medical peel works deeper: it makes the top layer renew faster, and the strength decides how far it goes. With acne, a herbal peel reduces the inflammation, without acid. After a peel your skin is dry and flaky for a few days.
Every treatment is also for men. LED light can be added on top, without extra recovery time. Not sure which it will be? Then we look at your skin first and choose together.

A facial treatment works on the upper layers of your skin. What your skin needs there decides the choice.
With dull skin and blocked pores you usually start with a HydraFacial or an OxyGeneo. Your skin is cleaner and fresher straight away, and there is no day you have to stay indoors. More about this under dull skin and blemished skin and blackheads.
If your skin cannot tolerate acids, dermaplaning is the calmest choice. With redness, LED light can be added, which calms the skin. With active acne you do not start with a treatment that only cleans the surface; for that, acne treatment in Rotterdam is the place to begin.
For scars, deeper lines or pigmentation that sits deeper, a facial treatment is not the right answer; microneedling or laser gets you further there, and you will hear that too. If you are pregnant, say so when you book: then we choose from the gentle treatments.

A HydraFacial, OxyGeneo or dermaplaning can be done on its own or as maintenance. A peel usually works in a series; how many it will be for you, you hear after the intake.

Then you book a treatment on advice. We reserve at most two hours for that: the intake, and then at least an hour to treat. If treating is safe at that moment and you want it, we do the first facial treatment in the same appointment.
What the intake costs
If you are treated in the same appointment, the intake fee is waived and you pay only for the treatment. If the treatment does not go ahead, the intake costs € 50. A separate intake without treatment lasts at most 30 minutes and always costs € 50.

A facial is a treatment of the face. With us that means the HydraFacial, the OxyGeneo, dermaplaning and the peels. Which one fits depends on your skin.
What is the difference between a HydraFacial and a peel?
A HydraFacial cleanses, exfoliates and hydrates in one pass, and you have no recovery time. A peel makes the top layer renew faster; depending on the strength your skin is dry and flaky for two to five days afterwards. The two can also be combined.
Do I need recovery time after a facial treatment?
After a HydraFacial, OxyGeneo or dermaplaning you do not: you carry on with your day straight away. After a peel your skin is dry and flaky for two to five days, and after a herbal peel it is first red and warm for a few days, after which it peels.
How often should I have a facial treatment?
A HydraFacial can be done on its own or monthly as maintenance, an OxyGeneo or dermaplaning on its own or every four to six weeks. A peel usually works in a series of four to six, with two to four weeks in between.
What does a facial treatment do for blackheads?
A HydraFacial removes blockages from your pores, and a peel helps because the top layer renews faster. Not everything that looks like a blackhead is one; we look at that during the appointment.
Is there a facial treatment for men?
Yes, all our facial treatments are also for men. For firmness and lines there is also Fotona 4D Men: the same protocol as Fotona 4D, set for the usually thicker skin of men.
Can I have a facial treatment if I am pregnant?
During pregnancy and while you are breastfeeding we do not do some treatments: for peels, microneedling, skin boosters and the pigment programmes the research to say they are safe is missing. What is possible is measuring, advising and the gentle facial treatments, such as dermaplaning. Say so when you book, and we choose from those.
