What Fotona 4D
does to your skin
Four treatments following one another in the same session, each at a different depth. Together they reach what one step alone does not.
Over the years your skin makes less collagen, the connective tissue that keeps it firm. You see that as slackening along the jawline, fine lines and less even skin. Those changes sit at different depths, and that is why Fotona 4D works at different depths too.
It starts from the inside with SmoothLiftin: a handpiece against the inside of your cheek, heating the tissue you cannot reach from outside. Then FRAC3 works at depth on irregularities, and PIANO heats the tissue flatly and evenly. SupErficial finishes with a light laser peel of the top layer.
Straight after the session the skin looks fuller from the heat, but that is not a result yet. Making collagen takes weeks, and the difference builds across the series: as a one-off or as a course of three, with four to six weeks in between.

Two lasers in one device
The Fotona TimeWalker is not a treatment but a platform. That it has two lasers is why 4D can do what one laser cannot.
Inside the cabinet are two lasers. An Er:YAG at 2940 nanometres, almost entirely absorbed by water and so staying at the surface. And an Nd:YAG at 1064 nanometres, held back much less by water and so reaching deeper. Together they cover a range one laser does not.
The warming steps use the SMOOTH mode: the energy comes in a series of slow pulses rather than one hard one. The tissue is warmed without the top layer being removed. What you feel is a rising warmth that stops just short of uncomfortable, and during the session the therapist asks how warm it feels.
There is also a full package, Fotona 4D Full Package, which includes the neck and the jawline. That is often where slackness shows first, while the face still looks taut. And there is Fotona 4D Men, with settings for the generally thicker skin of men.

Then you book a treatment on advice, for which we reserve at most two hours. Fotona 4D itself takes 90 minutes, so whether it fits into that first appointment depends on how long the intake takes. If it does not fit, we schedule it straight afterwards.
What the intake costs
If you are treated in the same appointment, the intake fee is waived and you pay only for the treatment. If the treatment does not go ahead, the intake costs € 50. A separate intake without treatment lasts at most 30 minutes and always costs € 50.
