What it does

Where it lands

In mesotherapy active ingredients are brought directly into the skin instead of onto it. The therapist works with the U225, which places every injection at the same depth. So the agent spreads evenly across the area. There are various skin boosters: for fine lines, and a depigmentation booster for face, neck and décolleté with hyperpigmentation, sun damage and melasma.

What happens

Acts on

Connective tissue

The scaffolding of your skin. What you prompt here repairs by building.

  • Stratum corneumThe outer layer of dead cells. What happens here shows quickly and heals quickly.Passes through here
  • EpidermisWhere your pigment sits and where new skin cells come from.Passes through here
  • Upper dermisThis is where the connective tissue starts. What you reach here heals by building. It works here
  • Deep dermisHair roots, vessels and the firmness of your skin. Working this deep needs a reason.Does not reach here
In the appointment

What happens,
in order.

Every treatment starts with cleansing, and that is done by hand. Make-up and sebum come off and the therapist checks that everything is gone, because a device or an active ingredient that works on a layer never reaches your skin.

  1. Choosing which booster

For fine lines or for pigment. Each goal asks for a different mixture.

  2. The injector

The needle is mounted separately from the syringe and does not move with the hand. So every injection is the same depth.

  3. Briefly red

Sometimes small bumps where the needle went. Usually gone within a day.

How it feels

What you notice in the chair

This is an injection treatment, so there are pricks. The injector places them in quick succession and at an equal depth, which makes it more even than by hand. Numbing cream beforehand belongs with it.

Just afterwards you see small bumps where each injection went in. Those usually settle within a day. Bruises can occur, especially around the eyes, and those last longer.

So do not book this just before something where you have to be photographed.

What it is for

What this treatment is meant for

On the left where this treatment works well, on the right when another treatment does more for you.

It works well for
  • Delivers active ingredients into the skin rather than onto it
  • Sets the needle at a fixed depth, so it does not differ from spot to spot
  • Has a separate booster for pigment, sun damage and melasma
For this you choose something else
  • For volume or shape a filler is the tool and not this
  • This is a course, so you book the sessions one after another
  • Without sun protection the pigment carries on, during the course too

Frequently asked questions

Why a course of three?

Because the skin does the work between sessions. Several prompts are needed before anything is built.

Is it painful?

It feels like a series of short pricks and it goes quickly. Around the eyes it is more sensitive than on the cheek.

How long does an appointment take?

Allow 60 minutes at the clinic. That is the time reserved for you in the calendar, including the cleansing beforehand.

How much recovery time do I need?

Briefly red and sometimes small bumps, usually gone within a day.

How often do I need to come?

Often a course of three, with two to four weeks in between.

What does it cost?

From 175 euros; the amount depends on the option you choose. Every option is on the price page.

The first appointment

Start with a skin analysis

The therapist looks at your skin, measures with the EVE-M and establishes what suits you. You hear straight away how many sessions it involves and what it costs. If you are treated in the same appointment, the intake fee is waived.
