Zilveren Kruis:
where to find it.
We cannot see what is in your policy, and we cannot promise anything on behalf of Zilveren Kruis. What we can do is tell you exactly where to find the answer and which condition sits in it most often.
Amounts are not given here. They change per year and per package, and with money, wrong is worse than absent.
Zilveren Kruis has a separate page per subject and per year. Take care you are looking at the current year; older editions stay online.
To Zilveren KruisThis reference was checked in September 2026. What is written there always takes precedence over what is written here.
Amounts and package names are deliberately left out.
Where it gets stuck
At Zilveren Kruis one maximum applies to acne treatment and hair removal together, and they set requirements for the therapist's registration. So do ask whether we meet that requirement.
This is not the amount but the condition, and that is deliberate: a condition changes far less often than a maximum, and it is usually the reason a claim is refused.
What Zilveren Kruis
asks of us
Zilveren Kruis sets the sharpest requirement of these six. The skin therapist must be quality-registered in the Dutch quality register for allied health professionals and hold a valid personal provider code, and that code and the professional association have to be on the invoice. If that is missing, they reject on the invoice and not on the treatment.
This is the part we can check for you. Just ask before you book and we will say whether we meet this requirement.
This is how you reach your own amount
Three steps, and you have the amount that belongs to your policy. We cannot look it up for you: what is in your package only you can see, behind your own login.
- Step 1
Find the page for your treatment and check the year at the top; older editions stay online and look the same.
- Step 2
Check whether your package is listed, because the amount depends on which supplementary policy you have.
- Step 3
Ask us for your therapist's provider code and professional association before you claim. Then the invoice does not have to come back.
The questions that at Zilveren Kruis matter
Below is what Zilveren Kruis publishes about it themselves. Take it with you when you call and check it for your policy: what holds for one package need not hold for another.
Do I need a referral?
The recent pages from Zilveren Kruis say you can go straight to a care provider. Older editions still mentioned a referral from the GP or specialist, so check the year at the top of the page you are reading.
Do I share this budget with anything else?
Yes. Zilveren Kruis applies one maximum for acne treatment and hair removal together. If you have both, check how much of that maximum you have used this year.
Does this come out of my excess?
With cover from the supplementary insurance, no. The excess belongs to the basic insurance. Many people put care off because they confuse the two.
One question comes before this.
Is there a medical reason for your concern? Without that reason no insurer covers anything, and that includes Zilveren Kruis ; for most of what we do, that is the answer.
The whole route, with what happens when the answer is noAn invoice
that is right.
We put on your invoice exactly what was done and by whom, so that you can submit it. If Zilveren Kruis asks for a registration number or for the therapist's qualification, you get that from us. Do call before you book: that saves you a refusal afterwards.
What we do not do is claim directly or promise that something will be covered. That conversation you have with your insurer, and we would have to guess the answer.
