Where it lands
A peel loosens the bond between the outermost skin cells, so that this layer is replaced faster than it would be on its own. How far that goes depends on the agent and the strength: the clinic works with peels from Skin Tech Pharma, Dermaceutic, ADO and Mesoestetic, in three levels.

Every treatment starts with cleansing, and that is done by hand. Make-up and sebum come off and the therapist checks that everything is gone, because a device or an active ingredient that works on a layer never reaches your skin.

The working time is measured against your skin. Leaving it on longer gives no better result.
Neutralising and protecting
Avoid the sun in the weeks after, and use SPF 50 daily.

What you notice in the chair
The liquid goes onto your skin in layers with a brush. Within half a minute it starts to sting or tingle, and that rises as more layers are added. The therapist watches your skin and the clock; together those decide when it comes off.
Stinging belongs with it, burning does not. So say so straight away if it starts to burn, and the therapist adjusts the setting.
What comes afterwards depends on the strength. With a light peel your skin is somewhat red and dry for a day. With a stronger one you start peeling, and then the most important rule is that you do not pick at it.
