Where it lands
LipLase heats the tissue of your lips and the edge around them, from the inside as well as from outside. The heat sets collagen production going, making the lip somewhat fuller and the lines around it less sharp. It is your own tissue building, so the difference is subtler than with a filler and it builds over the series.

What happens,

Every treatment starts with cleansing, and that is done by hand. Make-up and sebum come off and the therapist checks that everything is gone, because a device or an active ingredient that works on a layer never reaches your skin.
From the inside
The handpiece goes against the inside of your lip first. That feels warm.
And from outside
Then the therapist works on the outside, across the lip and the rim around it.
Briefly swollen
The lips are slightly swollen for a few hours. That settles on its own.

Straight afterwards your lips are somewhat swollen and feel warm. That settles within a few hours; in some people it lasts until the next day.

Is this the same as a filler?
No. With a filler something is introduced and the volume is there straight away. Here your own tissue builds, so the difference is subtler and it comes over the series.
Does it hurt?
It is warm and takes getting used to, but it does not hurt. No anaesthetic is involved.
How long does it last?
That differs per person. It is about collagen that has been built, and that declines again over time; most people come back periodically.
How long does an appointment take?
Allow 45 minutes at the clinic. That is the time reserved for you in the calendar, including the cleansing beforehand.
