Laser for active acne, aimed at the inflammation and the sebaceous gland.
Where it lands
With active acne the laser aims at two things at once: the inflammation in the skin and the oil gland that feeds it. The heat slows the activity of the gland and works on the bacterium that plays a part in acne. It is not a replacement for an acne programme but a step within it, because acne has a course and asks for more than one session.

What happens
Acts on
Water
Every skin cell is largely water. Aim at that and you hit tissue and not colour.
- Stratum corneumThe outer layer of dead cells. What happens here shows quickly and heals quickly.Passes through here
- EpidermisWhere your pigment sits and where new skin cells come from.It works here
- Upper dermisThis is where the connective tissue starts. What you reach here heals by building. It works here
- Deep dermisHair roots, vessels and the firmness of your skin. Working this deep needs a reason.Does not reach here
What happens,
in order.
Every treatment starts with cleansing, and that is done by hand. Make-up and sebum come off and the therapist checks that everything is gone, because a device or an active ingredient that works on a layer never reaches your skin.
Assessing
The skin therapist looks at whether it is about active inflammation and which areas are due.
Laser on the area
The handpiece passes over the affected spots. You feel short, warm taps.
Further into the programme
The session rarely stands alone; it fits within the acne programme with its products and check-ups.
What you notice in the chair
You are given protective goggles and the therapist passes over the affected areas with short pulses. On inflamed spots you feel it more clearly than on calm skin.
Afterwards you are red for a few hours. With active inflammation the skin can feel somewhat irritated on the first day; that belongs.

Frequently asked questions
Is this enough to get rid of my acne?
Rarely. Acne has a course and calls for a programme with treatments, products and check-ups. This laser is a step within it and not a replacement for it.
Is it possible with inflamed acne?
Yes, and that is exactly what it is meant for. The skin therapist assesses beforehand which areas are suitable.
What does it cost?
That depends on whether you have it separately or within an acne programme, and we establish that at the intake.
How long does an appointment take?
Allow 60 minutes at the clinic. That is the time reserved for you in the calendar, including the cleansing beforehand.
How much recovery time do I need?
A few hours red. With active inflammation the skin can feel somewhat irritated on the first day.
How often do I need to come?
Usually a series within an acne programme, with a few weeks in between.
Start with a skin analysis
The therapist looks at your skin, measures with the EVE-M and establishes what suits you. You hear straight away how many sessions it involves and what it costs. If you are treated in the same appointment, the intake fee is waived.
