Dermapen 4
Microneedling with vibrating needles. The same principle as the SkinPen, with a different motor design and more pricks per second.
A microneedling device that makes microscopically small channels in the skin with tiny, vibrating needles in order to stimulate the natural repair process. That stimulates collagen production, which makes the skin firmer, smoother and more even.
The therapist chooses the settings based on your skin, your health, the treatment area and the goal of the treatment.

What this device actually does
The same technique as the SkinPen, with a different motor design. The Dermapen 4 reaches up to 1920 pricks per second and has the same depth range of 0.25 to 3.0 millimetres, adjustable in steps per area of your face.
The difference you notice is in the speed with which an area is covered and in the modes the manufacturer has preset, including a scar setting working at maximum depth.
Which of the two pens you get depends not on which is better, but on the area, the depth that suits it and what came out of the measurement.
Where this device is meant for
On the left what this device was made for, on the right when something else does more for you.

- Fine lines and dull skin
- Working per area at an adjusted depth
- Colour on its own
- One session with a result
- Skin that has just had something else done
What is different from the other devices here
Several devices here do the same thing to the eye. Which one you get depends on your skin and on what was measured. Below is how they differ from one another.
- Compared with
SkinPen CIT
Does the same thing: making channels so that your skin repairs itself. The difference is in the device and not in the principle, and which of the two fits depends on your skin and the area.
To the SkinPen CIT - Compared with
U225 intradermal injector
Also pricks, but carries active ingredients in with it. The Dermapen works with the prompt alone.

Frequently asked questions
Why this pen and not the SkinPen?
That depends on the area and the depth that suits it, not on which is better. The Dermapen covers an area faster and has preset modes, including a scar setting at maximum depth.
What does 1920 pricks per second mean?
That the device covers an area quickly with small, even channels. Faster is not deeper here: the depth is set separately.
Is the depth adjusted per area?
Yes. Around your eyes and on your forehead it goes shallower than on your cheeks, because there the skin lies thin over bone. You notice it too: the deeper, the more pressure.
How long am I red?
One to three days, roughly like a strong sun flush. For the first twenty-four hours you leave your skin alone.
The difference is in the hand that operates it
The same Dermapen 4 gives a different result in two clinics. What counts is the measurement beforehand, the setting that belongs with it and the therapist who judges what suits your skin.
The measurement
Under UV and in normal light, so that you know what is there and how deep.
The setting
Strength, depth and pulse duration are chosen for your skin, not to a standard.
The honest no
If this does not fit what is going on with you, we say so.
