What happens,

Every treatment starts with cleansing, and that is done by hand. Make-up and sebum come off and the therapist checks that everything is gone, because a device or an active ingredient that works on a layer never reaches your skin.
Looking and measuring
Length, age, colour and whether it is raised or drawn in. That decides both the technique and the rate.
The series
Usually several sessions with weeks in between, because the repair does the work and not the treatment itself.

What you notice in the chair
The first appointment is mostly about looking and measuring. How old a scar is and how it feels decides what is possible, and that is not a conversation you have in five minutes.
The treatment itself depends on what comes out of that, and that differs per scar. What holds everywhere is that it is a series and not a single session, with intervals that give the tissue time.

My scar is ten years old. Is it still worth it?
Sometimes yes, and less than with a young scar. An old scar has matured and so responds more quietly. What to expect in your case you hear after the measurement.

Usually three to six, with four to six weeks in between. With a long or young scar that goes up; with an old and narrow scar it stays at the lower end. You hear that after the measurement.
