Where it lands
Skin tags are benign growths of skin often found on the neck, underarms or groin. They are removed per treatment session.
- Stratum corneumThe outer layer of dead cells. What happens here shows quickly and heals quickly. It works here
- EpidermisWhere your pigment sits and where new skin cells come from.It works here
- Upper dermisThis is where the connective tissue starts. What you reach here heals by building.Does not reach here
- Deep dermisHair roots, vessels and the firmness of your skin. Working this deep needs a reason.Does not reach here
What happens,
in order.
Every treatment starts with cleansing, and that is done by hand. Make-up and sebum come off and the therapist checks that everything is gone, because a device or an active ingredient that works on a layer never reaches your skin.
Looking first
Whether it is a skin tag. If we are unsure, we have a doctor assess it first.
Removal
A brief procedure per spot. Several in a row within the same quarter of an hour.
Korstjes
Those fall off on their own over days. Do not scratch, because then it does become a scar.

Fibroma removal, during the treatment
What you notice in the chair
Short and precise. The skin tag is numbed with a cream or an injection and then removed; the whole thing takes about a minute per spot.
A small scab is left that comes off within a week to ten days. Touching it is the only way to turn it into a scar.
We charge per quarter of an hour and not per spot, so several in one appointment is usually better value than coming back a few times.
What this treatment is meant for
On the left where this treatment works well, on the right when another treatment does more for you.
- Removes benign skin tags, usually on the neck, underarms or groin
- Charges per quarter of an hour, so several small spots at once does not cost more each
- Done in one appointment for most people
- If a spot is changing, a doctor or dermatologist assesses it first
- Anyone who makes them keeps making them, so new ones can appear
- A small mark is left behind that slowly fades
The concerns this belongs to
Every concern page says what the concern is, what can be done about it and when a different approach gives more.
Frequently asked questions
Is it painful?
Short and sharp per spot, and it is quickly over. For larger or sensitive spots we numb it.
Why per quarter of an hour and not per item?
Because the number matters less than the time. Anyone with twenty small ones would otherwise pay twenty times over for the same quarter of an hour's work.
How long does an appointment take?
Allow 15 minutes at the clinic. That is the time reserved for you in the calendar, including the cleansing beforehand.
How much recovery time do I need?
Small scabs that disappear over days.
How often do I need to come?
Usually once
What does it cost?
30 euros per session. Every price is published on the price page.
